Client and System

Attracted by the advantages of SAAS, the client decides to develop a web system with new features based on current software product. The new system provides job management and accounting management services to his SME customers based on internet service. His customers could enjoy the brand new services without purchasing any software, hardware and they don’t have to maintain the system either. ASP.net, SQL Server 2005 and Microsoft N-Tier Architecture are adopted. 3rd party Crystal Report is also adopted in data analysis module.

Team structure and its flexibility

According to launch plan, 4 engineers are arranged. Lead developer is responsible for system architecture and development of core modules. A tester is added in to help in quality assurance. Due to non-functional requirement of SAAS project, we arrange an engineer with special skills and experience to join in the team temporarily to improve the system performance.

"Near Agile" methodology

Common approaches are adopted such as short iteration and frequent demo. Lead developer is familiar with Agile methodology. All team members are encouraged to communicate with the client directly when they have questions. But in order to have the best communication efficiency, lead developer is the one who talks to the client most. His communication focuses more on critical issues of the project. By PMS (Project Management System), the client can obtain all important information of development progress. PMS also enables the client discussing with or giving order to the team on specific tasks without wasting time on email composing.

10 working days free of charge

As team efficiency is dragged back by some individual in the first few iterations, lead developer discusses with the client and decides to try someone else. According to guarantee clause of Mini ODC, we offer the client 10 working days knowledge transfer period free of charge for this switch. After that, team efficiency is greatly enhanced and we catch up the development plan soon.
